Famous for its discovery of the planet Pluto, the observatory remains one of the country’s leading astronomical institutions. One highlight of the observatory is the chance to view the night sky through Lowell's century-old Clark Telescope. Located at the south end of Thorpe Park, the observatory displays astronomy exhibits and offers night viewings open to the public.
Nov - Feb: Daily noon - 5:00 p.m.; Mar - Oct: Daily 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Evening openings: Sep - May: Wed., Fri. & Sat. at 5:30 p.m.; Jun- Aug: Mon. - Sat. 5:30 p.m.
Adults $6; Seniors, students & AAA members $5; Youth (5-17) $3; Children age four and under are free
